This does work. I've found that I don't really need the clip, in fact I think I threw it away. When you fold up a bill properly it fits in the cap snugly. I have found that these little pill cases, SE ID Holder with Keychain, Assorted Color (6 Pack), are almost identical and much more economical.

The True Utility cashstash is a clever little capsule for keeping a spare bill on you for whatever reason. Fact of the matter is, you should maybe get a couple of these and stash them around so when you inevitably end up with too much week at the end of your paycheck, you can go bail yourself out.

The capsule is made of machined aluminum and weighs next to nothing. It has a waterproof gasket around the screw threads to keep moisture out, so your bill doesn't get mildewed. Only problem is that after a week or so, the gasket stretches and become ineffective. A replacement could probably be had at any hardware store, though.

My friend says the capsule could probably be used for other nefarious purposes whereby one would need to hide small but very valuable quantities of various materials in out-of-sight places. I say the leaking gasket would ruin this.

As the item description and other reviews have said, this tiny little container is made of aluminum and weighs almost nothing. It looks almost identical to similar pill containers, only much smaller. There's a waterproof gasket to keep out moisture, but I don't know as I'd trust it to be submerged. There's a little metal ring that lets it slip onto any standard keyring. It is, obviously, fatter than a key, so expect your keyring to be a bit bulkier as a result.

It holds a single bill, though you will probably need to practice folding it up a couple of times before you get it quite right. It comes with a small metal clip to help hold the bill, once folded, so you'll need to be careful not to lose the clip. Chances are you won't be opening it up much -- only in emergencies -- so the chance of losing the clip and the hassle of folding the bill aren't something you'll run into every day.
